DESCRIPTION:U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) reminds farmers and ranchers that the deadline to apply for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) is Sept. 11\, 2020. This program provides direct relief to producers who faced price declines and additional marketing costs due to COVID-19. \nOver 160 commodities are eligible for CFAP\, including certain non-specialty crops\, livestock\, dairy\, wool\, specialty crops\, eggs\, aquaculture\, and nursery crops and cut flowers. All eligible commodities\, payment rates\, and calculations can be found on farmers.gov/cfap.

DESCRIPTION:UPDATE:  A flyer for the tour with field locations can be viewed here. \nMark  your calendars for an ‘open house’ style spring canola tour near Bozeman\, Montana on July 7\, 2020.  There are three different spring canola varieties planted at Middle Creek Farms and representatives from each of the seed companies (BASF\, Nuseed\, Photosyntech) as well as canola growers\, processors\, PNWCA directors\, and industry reps will be stationed at each field to provide information about canola production and marketing strategies.  We are following all state and county regulations for COVID-19 requirements for this and other events.
