U.S. Canola Meeting in Spokane, WA September 10, 2019
The U.S. Canola Association (USCA) will be in the Pacific Northwest for its annual Board of Directors meeting. Here are details from the U.S. Canola Association newsletter:
The USCA fall board of directors’ meeting will be Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 12-15 in Spokane, Wash., at The Historic Davenport Hotel. The meeting will begin with a reception in the late afternoon on Tuesday. The board meeting will be all day Wednesday and the next day will be a tour of Viterra’s processing plant in Warden followed by a farm reception
Note that on Friday, November 15, the PNWCA has organized a panel of growers from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, university canola researchers, and representatives from USCA, PNWCA, and Viterra to give a presentation at the Tri-State Grain Growers Annual Convention, also being held in Spokane.
The registration fee is $200 per board member and $50 per spouse. The agenda to date is:
- Tuesday, November 12 – travel day; welcome reception starting late in the afternoon
- Wednesday, November 13 – all-day board meeting and dinner
- Thursday, November 14 – tour of Viterra processing plant in Warden, Wash. followed by afternoon reception at farm of Curtis Hennings
- Friday, November 15 – tri-state panel discussion on Pacific Northwest canola production, rotational benefits, etc. with growers, university researchers and representatives from Viterra, the PNWCA and USCA.
The USCA has a block of rooms at The Davenport Hotel. The last day to book is Friday, Oct. 18.
