Public hearing for potential oilseed checkoff in MT April 10, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The Montana Dept. of Agriculture will hold a public hearing April 10th at noon PT/ 1:00 p.m. MT, to gauge public interest on the potential creation of an oilseed checkoff to be directed through an oilseed advisory committee.
Idaho and Washington state have had an oilseed checkoff in place for more than 20 years that has provided critical funding for research to improve oilseed production, breeding, marketing, and education. We fully support a checkoff in Montana to fund Montana-specific research!
The hearing will be virtual via Zoom – plan to attend from wherever you are!
