TruFlex variety trial tour – Walla Walla June 22, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

We have two locations this year of large-scale spring canola variety trials, and will be holding a tour at the site east of Walla Walla, Washington at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22 (note the date change!) following the NWGG cereal plot tour on Russell Creek Rd. (click here to see flyer for all NWGG tours/meetings)  There are 10 TruFlex entries from 6 seed companies and one Roundup Ready entry.  The tour is a great opportunity to see how the different cultivars compare to each other.  Seed company reps will be on hand to answer questions about their canola varieties, we’ll hear from the Rea’s about their observations this spring, and there will be several other short presentations from university faculty and canola industry reps about topics ranging from insect pest management to marketing to weed control. Dr. Rachel Wieme, WSU Walla Walla County Extension Agronomist, will speak about her ongoing and future programming, and welcomes your ideas too!

*** If you are not able to make the tour and are interested in viewing the plots at another date/time, please contact us to make arrangements to do so.  Field access is by permission only outside of tour times.

RSVPs for the tour are appreciated to pnwcanola@gmail.com.
